Summer Roll

Wrap your favorites




Ingredients

  • Dry rice paper (sold at an Asian grocery)

  • Vegetables (carrot, avocado, coriander, lettuce, purple cabbage, bean sprout, cucumber, etc.)

  • Seafood or meat (shrimp, imitation crab, smoked salmon, stripped beef or chicken, etc.)

  • Sauce (sweet chili sauce, ponzu, mustard & soy sauce, sesame dressing, etc.)

  • Other (thin sliced paprika, green pepper, onion, harusame rice noodle, etc.)


Directions

  1. Cut the vegetables, sea food and meat into thin strips

  2. Prepare a large (wide) pan or dish and fill in room temperature water (individually, if possible)

  3. Soak a rice paper into the water for 5 -10 seconds and take it out on the individual plate

  4. Add your favorite ingredients and roll it tight

  5. Dip in your favorite sauce


Notes

  • Take out the rice paper while it is still somewhat hard (Will get soft when you wrap the ingredients)

  • Learned from a lady from Vietnam at her home party
