Miso Soup

Typical Japanese soup - combine with seasonal ingredients

Tofu, Shungiku

Cabbage, Mtsuba

Cabbage, Tokyo negi, Age

Daikon, Pumpkin

Wakame, Komatsuna, Fu, Tokyo negi

Tofu, Zucchini, Green onion

Tougan, Tofu, Komatsuna



Ingredients

  • Vegetables, Tofu, etc..

  • Dashi powder (or homemade dashi)

  • Miso


Directions

  1. Cut vegetables/tofu, etc.. usually in a smaller cubes

  2. Add in dashi, water and boil (add the hard ingredients toward the beginning, and soft ones at the end)

  3. Add miso and remove from the heat. (Do not boil after adding miso.)


Note

  • onion, green onion, Tokyo negi, wakame seaweed, tofu, spinach, komatsuna, shungiku, cabbage, enoki mushroom, age (あげ), mitsuba, carrot, daikon, fu(麩), pumpkin, yuzu peel, potato, zucchini, etc.
