Kanpyo
Dried strips of Yuugao (melon family)
Serve as is or use in sushi, mix with rice or Kombu roll
Product of Tochigi prefecture
Ingredients:
Kanpyo (dry) about 40g
Salt
Water 200 cc
Soy sauce 4 tbsp
Mirin 4 tbsp
Sugar 2 tbsp
Directions;
Soak kanpyo in water for a few minutes
Drain, squeeze lightly, then prinkle salt and rub it
Rinse lightly, and put in a boiling water for 10 minutes
Drain and squeeze lightlyl
In a pot, boil water, soy sauce, mirin, sugar
Add kanpyo to simmer
