Ebi Daikon

Shrimp in Daikon



Ingredients

  • Daikon radish

  • Shrimp

  • Starch (potato starch, flour, etc..)

  • Dashi, Sake, Mirin

  • Shiitake mushroom (optional)


Directions

  1. Cut daikon in round slices (1-2 inches thick)

  2. Cut out the center to make a hole (not so deep) using melon cutter or a spoon

  3. Boil and cook daikon in water, mirin, sake, dashi, etc..

  4. Chop shrimps into pieces and mix with salt, sake, starch

  5. Put the mixture into the daikon hole

  6. Cook again until the mixture get cooked, pouring the sauce over occasionally
