Cabbage Salad with Takuan
Ingredients
Cabbage
Takuan pickles *
Cucumber (optional)
Shio Kombu, shiso leaves, sesame seeds (optional)
Directions
Cut cabbage (and cucumber) in thin strip
Sprinkle some salt and leave for a while, or oak cabbage (and cucumber) in salted water (500cc water, 1 tbsp salt) for 10 min
Drain and squeeze
Mix with takuan (cut in thin strip) , shio kombu/and sesame (optional)
Note

Takuan will add mild flavor to the vegetables
* Takuan is a pickled daikon radish
