Somen Noodle

Refreshing, handy cold noodle in summer




Ingredients

  • Somen noodle

  • Topping (cucumber, egg, cold cut, shiso, petit tomato, myoga, green onion, sesame, etc.)

  • Mentsuyu

  • Wasabi (optional)


Directions

  1. Boil water and cook somen noodles briefly

  2. Drain and rinse with cold water immediately

  3. Cut the topping ingredients into small/thin slices

  4. Add topping and serve with tsuyu

Note

  • Serve warm with soup in winter

  • Put ice on noodle and rinse with water just before serving, to keep it cool and separate the noodles
