Creamy Hakusai
As a side dish, or as soup or pasta sauce
Ingredients
Hakusai (Chinese cabbage)
Shiitake (fresh or dry)
Carrot
Onion
Ham (or any cold cut)
Salt & pepper
Consomme Milk (any kind)
Flour (potato starch, etc.)
Heavy cream (optional)
Directions
Cut the vegetables and ham to your desired size
Put in a pan and heat up (Water will come out of Hakusai)
Add salt & pepper, consomme,
Add milk and flour until slightly thickens
Add heavy cream for richer flavor
Note
Can consume a large amount of hakusai
When heated, hakusai produces a lot of water
