Blueberry Kanten Jelly

Blue berries from our garden at the end of June




Ingredients

  • Blueberries

  • Kanten powder 1 bag (4g) *

  • Sugar 4tsp (adjust per your taste)


Directions

  1. Wash blueberries and wipe dry

  2. Mix water (400ml) and kanten powder well in a small pot

  3. Heat up, and add sugar just before boiling and mix

  4. Remove from heat and let it cool down

  5. Before it is hardened, pour into a container and sprinkle blueberries

  6. When it is cool and hard, put in the refrigerator

  7. Cut and serve


Note

  • *Japanese Kanten powder is similar to agar and gelatin and is made from edible seaweed. It's the ideal ingredient for vegans to make gelatin-type desserts and confectionaries.
