Wild Rice Soup
Recalling the soup at a homey lakeside restaurant in Pennsylvania
Ingredients
Wild rice
Vegetables (onion, corn, mushroom, potato... )
Shrimp
White wine
Salt & pepper
flour (for thickening, or use oatmeal)
Milk (any kind)
Bay leaf 1
Directions
Cook wild rice in advance (can use rice cooker)
Chop vegetables and shrimp in desirable size
Sautee with olive oil, salt & pepper, and add wine
Add some flour and continue to sautee
Add milk little by little on low heat and stir
Add bay leaf and simmer for a while
Add cooked wild rice at the end
