Wild Rice Soup

Recalling the soup at a homey lakeside restaurant in Pennsylvania


Ingredients

  • Wild rice

  • Vegetables (onion, corn, mushroom, potato... )

  • Shrimp

  • White wine

  • Salt & pepper

  • flour (for thickening, or use oatmeal)

  • Milk (any kind)

  • Bay leaf 1


Directions

  1. Cook wild rice in advance (can use rice cooker)

  2. Chop vegetables and shrimp in desirable size

  3. Sautee with olive oil, salt & pepper, and add wine

  4. Add some flour and continue to sautee

  5. Add milk little by little on low heat and stir

  6. Add bay leaf and simmer for a while

  7. Add cooked wild rice at the end
