Boiled Daikon

Homey vegetable dish



Kenchin ni*


Ingredients

  • Daikon

  • Carrot

  • Tofu

  • Shiitake, green bean, chikura, etc. optional

  • Dashi soup (dashi, soy sauce, mirin, sake ...)


Directions

  1. Cut vegetables (cut + in the middle of thick daikon)

  2. Sautee the ingredients first (optional) or boil (add the ones that takes longer to cook)

  3. Add flavor and simmer till tender


Note

  • *Kenchin ni is a local food of Yamaguchi ken area. Slice the vegetables thin, and add more mirin (or sugar).
