#39 Misumi and vicinity

Misumi town is located on the cost of Shimane prefecture.

One of the largest coal-fired power plants was built in 1998 (1st building), 2019 (2nd building). Driving through the mountains, you suddenly encounter this unusually huge facility and feel as if in a different world.

View of the Sea of Japan and tunnel/JR San-in railroad from Michi no Eki called "Yuuhi Park Misumi" a popular spot for train/railroad photographers. Along the Route 9 between Yamaguchi city and Misumi town, there are as many as 4 Michi no Eki.

Approximately 1000 rice terraces at Murodani district in Misumi town is selected as one of the "100 Best Rice Terraces in Japan".
