Rented a car to find this place in the middle of nowhere in Hikoshima.

From the sign;

In 1183, Tomomori came to Hikoshima carrying the remains of his late father, Kiyomori, and began construction of Neo Castle, the last stronghold of the Taira clan. He interred the remains on this small hilltop and erected a tombstone. The following year, on March 24th, he marched into the Battle of Dannoura, but his dream of restoration was fleeting and vanished in the whirlpool. The tombstone had been left uninscribed in the wasteland for many years, but in 1929, local people knowledgeable in history engraved it with the words Kiyomorizuka.
