Suo Oshima, Yamaguchi Ken
An old shrine located in Shitata (Nishikata) , overlooking Seto Inland Sea and Mt. Misen, Miyajima. Suo Oshima native anthropologist, Tsuneichi Miyamoto, used to play at this shrine in his childhood. Masterpieces of Choshu Daiku (talented carpenters from Oshima) can be seen in the structure and decorative wood carving.
