Toshunji is a temple that honors Mori Motonari, a powerful warlord during the 16th-century Warring States period. Its gate is one of only a few temple gates in Japan dating from the Muromachi period (circa 1336–1573) to have four supporting pillars. Met a pet goat at the temple.
In the temple property, a very tasteful pottery studio/shop "Mizunoue gama" has opened in 2021.
